Ugh... October 26, 2008 The camera is TERRIBLE. The missions are repetitive. Combat becomes almost entirely melee, which sucks. Each character is way to alike on the Autobot side. Has a high requirement for Wii Remote motion, in other words, it isn't responsive. Badly adapted to the movie.
Transformers for Wii September 17, 2008 I love it! It looks great. It's really hands on. and I love the original voices.
Transform This! July 2, 2008 I can't add too much to what's already been said. Medium game at best. I guess I'd just say that most mediocre games have cheats and so then does this one. You can pretty much code cheat all the special features. No good game does this so you know the programers knew the limitations (I feel sorry for those guys) of printing a game hastily. It has its fun but it is all in destruction and transforming and character design (which to be fair is very good). Gameplay itself sucks the bottom especially on the Wii. Camera is the main issue as the Wii remote controls your melee attack (yes I know the nunchuck does too but guess what, a lot of folks are right handed!) and camera and moving it in the slightest while in the heat of battle really messes you up. Games are meant to be interactive these days but but this works against the Wii as your basic human instinct moves you you can't control the camera. Seems hasitily patched. If you use the cheats you can have fun in the various robot forms but again, only weak games need cheats to be fun.
Destruction can be fun! May 27, 2008 My 8 year old son loves the Transformers game - we have it in the wii version. He likes the free form way you can walk around - or transform and fly, drive, etc - and destroy things with various weapons at your disposal, including yourself.
Camera DESTROYS this game for me... March 7, 2008 Could have been a fun GTA style game... however the annoying camera just zoomed in way to frequently and just ruined the game for me... I'll never play it again. Now every time I look at other action games like this... I'm always worrying they'll have a problem like this.
I was so upset that there was no camera handling options. 1 star.
Lesson learned... read reviews or rent games first before buying.
