 Great game when it works December 1, 2008
This is an awesome game. Only problem is that on some 360's it consistently freezes up, often at the very end of a game. You have to reset your 360 and lose all progress you had made up to that point. This is the only game out of 15 that I own that ever freezes. EA's quality control is horrible.

I'll keep this short.
NHL 09 is an amazing game. The graphics, gameplay, AI, playing options, are all top-notch. They've found, in my opinion, the perfect balence between challenging and fun. I must tip my hat to EA sports for this great gaming success.

This game is fun, and I'm not even a big hockey fan. If you like sports games, this will be fun to play. The graphics are pretty sweet and the game play is realistic. Of course, you will still get a glitch here and there, but I don't think there are any games out there without them. I guess that's what makes it a video game.
amazing hockey game October 12, 2008
I played tons of hockey back in high school and havent played in a few years. This game brings back so many memories because it is extremely realistic. This graphics are awesome, the new hitting physics are a great improvement, the stick handling and shooting is super smooth and much improved. this game is reallllly addicting and I highly recommend to fans of the NHL series.
