Played GH3 1st November 5, 2008 This is a great game, although I like GH3 better. I would recommend this game to everyone. It is more forgiving than 2 or 3, but the "hammer ons" and "pull offs" are harder to do.
Guitar Hero...even Moms can play! September 18, 2008 "I only play regular Nintendo" used to be my mantra. The controllers on subsequent systems were too much for this old school video gamer (I cut my teeth on Atari). Enter Guitar Hero. Addicted is an understatement.
The great part is that this has become a family activity. We play face off, or see who can get the most starts on career mode. My children, ranging in ages 9-14, like the music and have downloaded some of the songs to their mp3 players.
My favorite version so far is Guitar Hero 80's. Favorite songs from that version would be Turning Japanese (by the Vapors) and Play With Me (by Extreme). I've found the "medium" difficulty in this version to be easier than the medium difficulty in GHII.
One of the most enjoyable games ever! September 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I first played Guitar Hero back in 2005,and completely love it from the start to finish. This has to be one of the coolest games ever made,it has so many great songs and challenging modes. This game has Career mode, which is just a story mode in which you have to beat the songs to play more songs until you get to the last song. The other modes are Versus and practice,it is useful when you first start out,it is hard to get use to strumming and pressing the buttons at the same time.
The songs are the best part about the game and there is a lot of great classic rock songs like: Smoke On The Water,Iron Man,Ace Of Spades,Fat Lip, and many other great songs.I consider this Guitar Hero my favorite one out of the three out right now(not counting GH World Tour, its not out yet).I usually play this game on medium and I recently started to play it on hard mode, which takes more time to get use to.My favorite songs are: Cowboys From Hell,More Than A Feeling,Bark At The Moon, and Crossroads. This game is fun to play and the difficulty does vary upon different modes.
Guitar Hero Main Song List:
Pantera-Cowboys From Hell,Boston-More Than A Feeling, White Zombie-Thunder Kiss 65',Helmet-Unsung, Burning Brides-Heart Full Of Black,Audioslave-Cochise, Motorhead-Ace Of Spades,Incubus-Stellar, Sum 41-Fat Lip,Queen-Killer Queen Red Hot Chili Peppers-Higher Ground,The Donnas-Take It Off, Deep Purple-Smoke On The Water,Cream-Crossroads Megadeth-Symphony Of Destruction,David Bowie-Ziggy Stardust, ZZ Top-Sharp Dressed Man,Bad Religion-Infected, Ozzy Osbourne-Bark At The Moon,Black Sabbath-Iron Man, The Ramones-I Wanna Be Sedated,Edgar Winter Group-Frankenstein, Jimi Hendrix-Spanish Castle Magic,Franz Ferdinand-Take Me Out, The Exies-Hey You,Stevie Ray Vaughan-Texas Flood, Blue Oyster Cult-Godzilla, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts-I Love Rock N Roll, Queens Of The Stone Age-No One Knows, Judas Priest-You Got Another Thing Coming
Good for the first game of the series June 18, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is only good if you have never played a guitar hero game in your life. The song selection is great, but if you've experienced the hammer-on improvements of GH2 and GH3, you will hate this game. DO NOT BUY if you've played the other GH games, you won't like it, even if you're buying for the song list. However, new people to GH will love this game!
Great Game!!!!!!!!! May 27, 2008 It's a great game.It has a lot songs to suit everyone. It's very addictive. This game is great for everyone. It's a good party game. All in all it's a great game.
