Great sequel to the first! September 15, 2008 I am an adult gamer. I have 7 Wonders of the Ancient World for the Nintendo DS. I loved it so much that I wanted more. The only option I had was to buy 7 Wonders of the Ancient World 2 for the PC version.
I'm not used to the large picture of the 7 Wonders versus on my tiny DS screen. It's a big difference and the graphics are beautiful on the PC. The game is similar to the DS one.
The only difference between the DS and PC version I noticed is that with the PC version, I am able to click on the matching gems while they are disappearing elsewhere. With the DS version, I have to wait until the matching sets disappear and everything is settled before I can click on another gem to match.
Beautiful game with excellent graphics. Great re-play value! This game is just so soothing and fun to play for all ages.
"Wonder"ful Beyond Words! July 15, 2008 This is a truly "wonder"ful match-up game. The graphics are great, and you actually get to build your latest "Wonder" by placing the various building peices yourself, and gaining extra "bonuses" along the way. I still love the little workmen and the Foreman running back and forth and jabbering on and on. It IS better than the original "7 Wonders" game in some respects, but they each have their own personal charm. Also, as you are building different "Wonders" in each version, there is no real repetition in what you're doing. The first game is for the original, true "7 Wonders of the Ancient World," while this second version turns to other "wonder"ful old constructions, including Stonehenge and The Great Wall of China. I recommend each of them very, very highly. You'll enjoy them both, again and again!!! I do!!! (Is it time, yet, for "7 Wonders III"???)

My favorite part of this game is the mini-game which challenges players to rely on logic to make the right moves to free the star, cornerstone or other object.
The game comes with two modes: Regular for building the wonders one by one, and free play where you can revisit and play any unlocked wonder except the secret one. After completing construction of all eight buildings, the game enhances its replay value by assigning you a rank and taking you back to Stonehenge without starting over on points or difficulty.
Anyone disappointed with 7 Wonders of the Ancient World should try the immensely improved 7 Wonders II. For those who haven't played the original, skip it and head straight to the sequel.
7 Wonders 2 improved over first version January 12, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I really enjoyed 7 Wonders the first version but the game had some issues. The rocks wouldn't drop fast enough went they got to the bottom of the board and that would cause a slow down and increase the chance of losing the level. 7 Wonders 2 corrected this problem. Very relaxing enjoyable game.

The game of 7 Wonders #2 is very interesting. The graphics are above & beyond anything I expected from a "low-tech" game. I'm impressed!
