Product Description The Novint Falcon is an entirely new type of game controller. Replacing your mouse or joystick, the Falcon is, essentially, a small robot that lets you experience true virtual touch unlike any controller in history. The Novint Falcon lets you control a game in three dimensions, and also lets you feel high-fidelity three-dimensional force feedback. The Falcon controller moves right and left, forwards and backwards, like a mouse, but also moves up and down. When you hold the Falcon's detachable Grip and move your cursor to interact with a virtual object, environment, or character, motors in the device turn on and are updated approximately 1000 times a second, letting you feel texture, shape, weight, dimension, and dynamics. The Falcon lets you control and interact with games in a more realistic way, allowing you to develop real physical skill and muscle memory, adding a new dimension to gaming. The award-winning Novint Falcon makes virtual items and experiences feel real. Feel the weight of a basketball as you shoot it towards a hoop -- the momentum and impact as you swing a virtual golf club and strike a ball -- the recoil of a weapon - or the physical characteristics of virtual objects and environments. Unit Size - 9 x 9 x 9 Weight - 6 lbs

Absolutely Mind-Blowing - a MUST HAVE item October 8, 2008 The Falcon can not be explained in words, you need to try it to believe it. The experience is absolutely amazing and mind-blowing. All of the sudden every game becomes 10 times better because instead of pushing buttons and watching the action you become part of the action and can feel everything that is going on. Once you played a game with the Falcon you will never go back, it would be like going back to black and white TV or silent movies. Novint offers a 30 day money back guarantee, so you have nothing to loose: Go ahead and buy your Falcon today, you will not regret it! Also check out their homepage www.novint.com, look at the videos and the media coverage, very impressive! And don't forget, make yourself happy and buy a Falcon!
AMAZING ... a must have for any game September 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have played with Falcon today and it is a true paradigm shift for any game. The feedback is so real, it is absolutely mind-blowing. Whether you walk, drive, climb, shoot, catch or carry something the feeling is just amazing ... the game is becoming much more real. I tried it with several genres and I am sure, once you try it, you won't want to live without it. And it is so intuitive, I was up to speed in a just few minutes. It also has a high quality and is very rugged.
This thing is the best innovation for games since the mouse has been invented.
The only thing: You will need a little more space on your desk ... hey, but what's that for a whole new world?
Many big games have already been adapted to the Falcon and more are scheduled to come shortly. It is an absolute MUST HAVE. Today I have heard that in addition to the newly released gun, a Falcon steering wheel is also in the works.
Outstanding new way to control PC games August 18, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm a big fan of arcade shooters with a lot of recoil (operation wolf, LA machineguns, etc) The added recoil really adds immersion. The falcon is a great way to add that immersion to PC games. You could call it a force feedback device, but that doesn't really do it justice. It's definitely, as the maker says, a haptic device: able to generate several pounds of force. It can be used for all sorts of games, but I normally use it for FPS. Which is good that most of the upcoming haptic supported games will be shooters. This is a great peripheral and a ton of fun to play.
Innovative Product, needs more support August 9, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
In general this is truly an amazing product and even goofing around with the included cd worth of "games", and such, illustrates its potential.
That said, the fact that currently its not well supported in the game market, plus the fact that it is rather bulky are a couple of downsides.
I would recommend the product though because there have been announcements by gaming companies of future support.
Truly innovative, this has amazing potential and deserves your support! January 30, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a very new product, but it is built very well and offers an experience that no other device can offer (not even the wii). While some of the software doesn't really use its full potential, there are titles out now that begin to showcase what this can do and I bet that even better software will be coming shortly. The company making this clearly believes in what they are doing and offer some of the best customer support you can find anywhere. The more people that get this the more support it will get and it deserves it, so what are you waiting for?
